New amendments to entry visas announced by “identity and nationality”

The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security in the United Arab Emirates has announced a set of new amendments and additions to entry visas, aimed at enhancing the flexibility of the system and absorbing new groups of visitors and residents, and supporting the economic and social orientations of the state.

The most prominent modifications came as follows:

Add 4 new purposes to visit visas, including: artificial intelligence specialists, family care, tourism therapy, and marriage decision.

Humanitarian cases: It is granted for one year, with the possibility of renewal according to specific controls.

Establishing a widow or foreign divorced woman: granted for a year, renewable for a similar period according to specific conditions.

A friend or relative visit visa: It allows hosting a friend or relative of the first -class, to the third, based on the guarantor income.

Business Employment Exploration visa: It is required to provide a financial solvency to establish a company, have a stake in an existing company outside the country, or practice a professional profession.

Truck drivers visa: requires a guarantor, in addition to a healthy and financial guarantee.

Clear schedules for the extensible survival periods for each visa and extension powers, with the aim of enhancing transparency and facilitating procedures.

The authority emphasized that these updates come within the framework of its continuous endeavor to develop the visa and residence system, in line with the UAE vision in attracting competencies, supporting the vital sectors, and facilitating procedures for individuals and companies.
