Dubai Chamber of Commerce launches initiative activities "Sustainability 365"

Dubai on October 1 / WAM / The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three rooms operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, announced today, the organization of the “sustainability 365” initiative during the period from 6 to 30 October, with the aim of enhancing the adoption of the private sector for responsible business practices and supporting the initiatives aimed at supporting sustainability in all sectors.

The “Sustainability 365” initiative is the new identity of the “Sustainability Week” events, in order to celebrate the ten -year launch of the launch in 2015 by the Business Ethics Center of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, embodying the Chamber’s commitment to support the business community to adopt sustainability as an approach to institutional work over a period of 365 days throughout the year.

The initiative will be launched this year under the slogan: “Working Work: Enabling Communities through responsible business practices”, and its program includes organizing a series of events, which includes providing training opportunities that provide the business community with practical tools and knowledge necessary to implement sustainability practices effectively.

Maha Al -Qarqawi, Executive Vice President of the Business Society Support Sector in Dubai Chamber, said that the launch of the “Sustainability 365” initiative constitutes a pivotal station in this march, as it is not just a change in the name and expanding the duration of events, but rather embodies a firm conviction that social responsibility is an integral part of the culture of work, and a continuous motivation towards positive change in community service.

Since its inception in the year 2015, the activities of the sustainability week organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce on an annual basis formed a basic platform for dialogue and joint work in the field of sustainability, as more than 720 companies have participated in their activities over the past years.

The program begins its activities with the “Business Responsibility Forum”, and the effectiveness of “round discussion table on business aimed at a new model that goes beyond traditional methods”, in addition to the organization of the “World Sustainability and Social Responsibility Forum”.

During this month, the “Business Responsibility Academy” developed by the Business Ethics Center will present a series of virtual training sessions under the supervision of experts, and focus on sustainability and practices based on goals and values.
