Omar Sultan Al -Ulama: The Emirates is a global model in the leadership of artificial intelligence

Astana, October 3/ WAM/ Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Qasim Daraqat Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, His Excellency Omar Sultan Al -Ulama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, participated in the activities of the “Digital Bridge 2025” forum held in the capital, Astana.
His Excellency also participated in the work of the Consultative Council for Artificial Intelligence, which was held within the work of the forum, with the participation and presence of a group of governments and international experts in the areas of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
His Excellency Omar Sultan Al -Ulama stressed, in his speech to the forum, that artificial intelligence represents a basic pillar and pillar to bring about qualitative transformations in governance methods and enhance the efficiency of governmental and private sectors in a way that reflects positively on the quality of the life of societies, noting that the UAE, under the directives of its rational leadership, adopted a pre -emptive vision in this field, by setting a comprehensive national strategy for artificial intelligence, and has succeeded in converting it To a major development engine and a source to enhance the state’s position as a global destination for future technology.
He praised the distinguished relations that bring together the UAE and the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the strategic partnership between the two countries, which enhances the opportunities to benefit from technology in formulating a more sustainable future, praising Kazakhstan’s leadership on the map of developed countries in the field of artificial intelligence, which supports cooperation in the areas of scientific research, governance, mobility and speedy digital adoption.
He added that the two friendly countries are brought together by joint visions that are based on investing in human capital, developing talents, and developing specific partnerships in artificial intelligence initiatives, believing that young minds are the true wealth of nations.
The Digital Bridge 2025, the leading international forum for technology in Kazakhstan, is held from 2 to 4 October 2025 in Astana and brings together more than 67,000 participants, and more than 1,000 speakers from more than 100 countries, in addition to more than 500 startups and more than 500 investors and business owners.
The forum includes various paths such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, health technology and educational technology, the Internet of Things, augmented and virtual reality, agricultural technology, cybersecurity, e -commerce, space technology, and others.
It is noteworthy that the UAE and the Republic of Kazakhstan enjoy cooperation and distinguished strategic partnership, and last year witnessed the signing of 22 bilateral partnership agreements between the two countries that exceeded $ 5 billion, while the UAE is the first Arab partner for Kazakhstan in the fields of trade, energy and transportation.
The UAE and the Republic of Kazakhstan meet in their visions and orientations to develop and expand the fields and uses of artificial intelligence, as Kazakhstan witnessed its ministry’s launch of artificial intelligence in a move that reflects its commitment to innovation and digital transformation, while the UAE was distinguished by setting the first national strategy for artificial intelligence at the region level.
The two friendly countries are keen to build advanced partnerships in the fields of modern technology, including obstetric artificial intelligence, capacity building, and the development of organizational and moral frameworks, in order to enhance sustainable development and support the formation of a common digital future that reflects positively on the two countries, the region and the world.
