Al -Marri praises the performance of the “Dubai Residence” team in its first bicycle participation

Dubai Cycling Status team achieved a distinguished start in its first participation in the domestic league league competitions for the elite categories, under 23 years, and the juniors for the 2025-2026 season launched by the Emirates Cycling Federation, where the team won the first place in the under -23 category and the second place in the men’s category, after the contestants traveled a distance of 99 kilometers amid strong competition between the elite of local clubs.
In a press statement, the Director General of the General Administration of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Mohamed Ahmed Al -Marri, expressed his pride in this honorable performance, stressing that what the team has achieved reflects the spirit of determination and commitment that Dubai residence employees within the sports field as in the field of work, and that investing in the human element includes developing professional capabilities and building generations that enjoy health, energy and team spirit, in line with the vision of the wise leadership in making Dubai the most distinguished city And quality of life.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of the Dubai Cycling Team, Colonel Khard bin Madia Al Falasi, said that winning the first domestic league races is the fruit of the continuous leadership support for community sport, and embodies the keenness of Dubai to enhance the participation of its employees in sports activities that contribute to spreading a culture of health and fitness.
He added that this outstanding performance is the fruit of an integrated training plan and a professional sports management that focused on developing fitness, endurance and enhancing the team’s spirit, which positively reflected the team’s results in its first start in the season’s competitions.
The Director of the Sports Affairs Department, Captain Rashid Mohamed Al -Marri, explained that this strong start in the first season of the season reflects high readiness and insistence on the team members, pointing out that participation in this type of racing aims to consolidate the spirit of positive competition and spread the culture of sport as a lifestyle among employees, in addition to the honorable representation of the UAE in various forums.
