Nahyan bin Mubarak opens the annual forum for the national tolerance and identity clubs in universities
Abu Dhabi, October 7 / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Watan Fund, said that the tolerance clubs and national identity clubs always focus that the development of youth is a major goal in this country, and that the UAE under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, is keen to provide all means of excellence and success in front of citizens and residents both To achieve the maximum of the energies and capabilities of God.
He added: “We congratulate ourselves on the fact that God gave us a president who works with determination and sincerity in order for the state’s youth to be a source of right and good and models for productive work and serious performance, and I am honored and we celebrate the achievements of the clubs of tolerance and coexistence and national identity clubs, to extend to His Highness the President of the State with great thanks and great appreciation and respect, stressing to His Highness that we are all committed to achieving his comprehensive vision in enabling all sons The UAE of contributing and all the ability to the march of society and the homeland. “
This came during the opening of His Excellency, today, the fourth annual forum for students of tolerance and national identity clubs in universities, at Al Ain University.
The forum was attended by heads and directors of Emirati universities and supervisors of these clubs, in addition to more than 500 male and female students representing tolerance clubs and national identity clubs in universities, His Excellency Afra Al -Sabri, Director General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, and His Excellency Yasser Al -Qarqawi, Director General of Al Watan Fund.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak said: This annual meeting that brings together the clubs of tolerance with the national identity clubs, is a strong confirmation that tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood are basic components in our national identity, and that the members of these clubs and their colleagues in universities represent their self -confidence, the country, affiliation and loyalty to its history, culture, leadership, symbols, aspirations of society and its hopes And his aspirations in the present present and a bright future.
His Excellency added that the annual forum for the national tolerance and national identity clubs in universities, confirms that these clubs represent a real addition to the educational process, because the activities and initiatives they organize for the student developing sound thinking skills and right behavior, as well as his acquaintance with others, dialogue and joint work with them, as well as conscious briefing and strong linking with community issues and developments in the times, which contributes effectively to the student’s preparation, In order to be a good citizen, whether he is in study or after graduation, in order to interact and affect the comprehensive development movement in the country, within the framework of the progress and prosperity process that it is witnessing.
His Excellency explained that working in the clubs of tolerance and in the national identity clubs in universities showed that the members of these clubs are smart and promising, and they are keen on their national identity, proud of their homeland and leaders, proud of the pivotal and important role of the Emirates in the region and the world, and they maintain with all the values and original principles that constitute the path of the state in the present and the future alike.
He saluted the members of these clubs, for their fruitful work, expressing his pride in their keenness to play their role in building peace and harmony and rejecting conflict and disputes, and affirming the common human values of everyone, calling for them to be a real tool for positive change towards the best in society, and to be keen to link to the march of their homeland, to discuss its important issues and hold meetings and seminars, and to organize Competitions and celebrations, do charitable work, volunteer work, environmental service and society, and to be able to eliminate any feeling of marginalization, frustration, or relaxation, in order to embody their thought and behavior the principles, attributes and characteristics that the world knows about the Emirates.
His Excellency urged the members of the clubs to make the service of the country and the work of goodness their goal, and rejecting extremist ideas and destruction, because their work in these clubs in this way is a strong message from the Emirates to the world, on the important role of tolerance and coexistence in achieving progress and peace, and that their work is an area to spread the pioneering model of our country in tolerance and human brother The strong with values and principles that constitute the identity of this successful and pivotal state worldwide.
His Excellency called on the members of the clubs to take from the year of society, an occasion for the useful and beneficial communication with the spectrum of the whole society, and to assure their work that the tolerant society keen on its identity and culture and openness to others, is successful by all standards, and that relying on values and principles, characteristics and attributes in our great heritage is a great energy that leads to giving and achievement, and contributes to the development of society and improving the quality of life in it.
He said that his presence this meeting every year leads to deepening his pride in the sons and daughters of the Emirates, and affirms his confidence in the prosperous future that awaits the homeland, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and the Fund of the Nation to work with the students of the groups in order to be leaders of tolerance in society, and pioneers of the strong and sustainable national identity, calling on God Almighty to reconcile the UAE led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan And stability.
For his part, Dr. Nour El -Din Atatra, Vice -Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al Ain University, said that this forum represents a strong and expressive message about the deep commitment to firm values that distinguish the Emirates, whose foundations were established by the founding fathers, led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, who made tolerance, coexistence and mutual respect basic pillars of the country’s renaissance.

In turn, Zainab Al -Hamidi, from Al Ain University, said in the speech of students of the national tolerance and identity clubs, that the clubs of tolerance and national identity are a school for life, and a platform to consolidate the authentic values on which the UAE is based, whose foundations were established by the founding fathers, and strengthened by the leaders of this giving country.
She added: “I learned through the activities of the clubs that the values are not just slogans that we repeat, but rather a daily practice that starts from self -esteem and ends with the provision of bridges towards others, no matter how different their backgrounds, cultures, or religions, and these clubs also allowed us the opportunity to communicate together as students of different disciplines, where every meeting opened in front of the participants a new window to the country and the world.
During the forum, the universities that won their clubs won the shield of tolerance for this year, as well as the winning students in the orbit competition, while His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan toured the orbit exhibition in which 12 universities participated.
The activities also included open sessions managed by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and the Watan Fund to introduce tolerance clubs and national identity clubs, which included providing a vision on tolerance and national identity and an open session related to the activities and role of the clubs of tolerance and national identity, in addition to discussing the schedule of events and competitions this year for students of these clubs, in addition to launching the second session of the “Heritage” competition for students ’students All.
