On the occasion of the election of Dr. Khaled Al -Anani for the position of Director General of UNESCO, Dr. Bader Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, is sincere thanks and appreciation to the former Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, who laid the foundations of the Egyptian nomination campaign and led the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the first founding stages of the campaign. He also expresses his appreciation and thanks to the members of the Nomination Campaign at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and our permanent delegation to UNESCO in Paris, and the multilateral sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their extensive effort over two and a half years in the election campaign to promote the Egyptian candidate. In this context, the Foreign Minister praised the relevant and active efforts made by the Egyptian embassies abroad for 30 months and their contribution to mobilizing international support for the Egyptian candidate, which resulted in an unprecedented international support in the history of UNESCO elections.
