124 candidates applied for the parliamentary elections on the first day in Sharqia
The South Zagazig Court of First Instance, headed by Counselor Osama Al-Hanafi, witnessed an increasing turnout from those wishing to run, their supporters, and their families since the early hours of the morning. This is due to their keenness to win the distinctive electoral symbols.
On the first day of candidacy, 124 candidates from old and new faces, various parties, independents and the majority applied; Among them are in the first district in Zagazig, and the doors of the nomination committees in 9 electoral districts in the governorate were closed at five o’clock in the evening, amid heavy crowding.
The president of the court, Counselor Osama Al-Hanafi, said that applying for candidacy will continue until October 15th; The nomination committees will be closed on the last day at two in the afternoon… indicating that the elections will be held in 9 electoral districts, after the 10th of Ramadan district was annexed as an independent district.
