"ADNOC Logistics and Services" and"Enhance" They establish a specialized port for chemicals in Ruwais

Abu Dhabi, 9 October / WAM / ADNOC Logistics and Services PLC and Taziz Company announced a 50-year agreement to establish a specialized port for chemicals within the Taziz industrial chemicals zone in the city of Ruwais.
ADNOC Logistics and Services will build, own and operate the port, while Taziz will benefit from this facility to efficiently export chemicals and their derivatives to global markets.
The project, which costs more than one billion dirhams ($300 million), is scheduled to be completed during the last quarter of 2026, and is expected to contribute to achieving revenues exceeding 4.8 billion dirhams ($1.3 billion) for ADNOC Logistics and Services during the first 27 years.
On the other hand, Taziz is working on developing the first integrated chemicals system in the country, and its production capacity is planned to reach more than 4.7 million tons annually of chemicals by 2028, including methanol, low-carbon ammonia, caustic soda, ethylene dichloride, vinyl chloride monomer, and polyvinyl chloride.
Captain Abdul Karim Al Musabi, CEO of ADNOC Logistics and Services, said on this occasion that this strategic agreement to establish the first specialized port of its kind in the UAE represents an important step towards achieving long-term and predictable revenues for ADNOC Logistics and Services, in addition to supporting the growth of the integrated “Tazeez” system in the field of chemicals.
He added that the project confirms the ability to expand into rapidly growing sectors and provide sustainable value to its shareholders, in addition to contributing to advancing the process of industrial development witnessed by the country.
“Taziz” forms a fundamental pillar of ADNOC’s ambitions to advance the industrial value chain of chemicals in the country and contribute to supporting economic diversification through industrial development.
Taziz is expected to contribute billions of dollars to the national economy, provide thousands of job opportunities, and contribute to the development of hundreds of new final products across vital sectors including construction, agriculture, and health care.
For his part, Mishal Saud Al Kindi, CEO of Taziz, said that thanks to its strategic location near the fastest growing markets in Asia and Africa, the Taziz port dedicated to chemicals will enable the company to export its products efficiently and on a large scale, enhancing the UAE’s position as a leading destination in the global chemicals industry.
He added that the partnership with ADNOC Logistics and Services ensures the implementation, operation and development of this project, which contributes to providing reliable logistical services and sustainable returns for Taziz.
It is noteworthy that the “Taziz” project will provide an integrated system that guarantees the highest levels of operational efficiency for chemical producers, as it includes central facilities, storage stations, and supply lines for raw materials, in addition to an integrated infrastructure that includes roads, emergency response systems, and health, safety, and crisis management.
