The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities participates in the tourism exhibition TTG Travel Experience 2025 in Italy

Engineer Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Strategic Administration Affairs and Acting CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, confirmed that the Italian market is one of the most important markets exporting tourism to Egypt, explaining that the first half of the current year witnessed an increase of 49% compared to the same period last year.
This came during the participation of the Egyptian General Authority To stimulate tourism in the 62nd session of the international tourism exhibition TTG Travel Experience 2025, whose activities are currently being held in the city of Rimini, Italy, this comes within the framework of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ keenness to be present in important tourism events and to diversify the markets exporting tourism to Egypt.
The Egyptian pavilion was opened by Engineer Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Departmental Affairs. The strategy and the acting CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, and Walid Othman, the Egyptian Consul in Milan, in the presence of Mohamed Fawzi, responsible for the Italian file in the General Administration of Foreign Offices of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion.
Youssef indicated the Authority’s keenness to participate in the international tourism exhibition TTG Travel Experience on an ongoing basis, as it is one of the most important tourism exhibitions in the market. This is a good opportunity to meet with the public, visitors to the exhibition, as well as professional partners, including tour operators and decision makers in the tourism sector, to exchange visions and ideas to attract more tourist traffic coming from this tourism market.
During participation in the exhibition, Engineer Ahmed Youssef held a number of professional meetings with senior tour operators, representatives of tourism companies and the media in the Italian market, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation relations during the coming period. And action plans to promote the various tourism destinations, styles and products that the Egyptian tourist destination enjoys, and to learn about the developments witnessed by the tourism sector in the Italian market and the trends of Italian tourists.
During these meetings, the new tourism styles and products in the Egyptian destination were also highlighted, as well as the new tourist destinations that the country seeks to place on the global tourism map, including the North Coast region. The New City of El Alamein, in addition to the Grand Egyptian Museum, is one of the major national projects scheduled to open on November 1.
The authority is participating in the exhibition this year with a pavilion with an area of 220 square metres, which was designed in the Pharaonic style with a modern touch, equipped with large display screens to display promotional films about various tourist destinations, as well as a set of fixed advertisements at the exhibition and at the Rimini train station about… The Egyptian destination.
In its current session, the exhibition is also witnessing a large turnout from hotel establishments and Egyptian tourism companies, as 12 tourism companies and 13 hotel establishments are participating in the Egyptian pavilion.
The exhibition is considered the largest and most important tourism event in Italy, and the number of visitors this year is expected to reach more than 70,0000 visitors, and it is organized under the sponsorship of the main organizing company for the event, Italian. Exhibition Group, the local council of the city of Rimini, the Ministry of Tourism of Italy, and the Federation of Italian Tour Operators Fiavet.
