Cosmin prefers the experienced elements in the UAE squad against Oman… in a 4-3-3 system

The coach of the Romanian national football team, Ellario Cosmin, announced the official lineup with which Al-Abyad will play its decisive match against its Omani counterpart, scheduled for 9:15 pm today at Hamad Bin Jassim Stadium in Doha, as part of the Asian playoff qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup finals.
Cosmin chose a group dominated by experience and stability, a clear indication of his desire to rely on elements that have the ability to deal with the pressure of major matches, and to adhere to the dream of reaching the World Cup.
The team lineup was as follows:
Goalkeeper: Khaled Issa.
Defense line: Meloni, Lucas Pimenta, Kouame, and Robin Philipp.
Midfield: Majed Hassan, Abdullah Ramadan, and Jimenez.
Attack: Yahya Al-Ghassani, Caio Lucas, and Fabio Lima.
According to the method of play adopted by the coach, the team will play the match with a 4-3-3 plan, which gives it a balance between defense and attack, and allows it to quickly switch from defensive to offensive, while relying on the skill of speed and penetration through the sides.
The technical staff hopes that the experience of the international players will contribute to achieving a positive result against the Omani national team, which in turn enters the confrontation with great ambitions, making the match a real test of the ability of “Al-Abyad” to impose its style and continue the journey towards the World Cup.
