The Deputy Minister of Health inspects medical facilities in Sharqia and sets a deadline of one month to address the observations

 Dr. Amr Kandil, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, conducted a field tour to inspect a number of medical facilities in Sharkia Governorate, with the aim of strengthening the health system and ensuring the provision of high-quality medical services.

 The Deputy Minister was accompanied during the tour by supervisors from the central administrations of hospitals, primary care units, and health offices, along with a team from the preventive medicine and care sectors. Preliminary.

Dr. Amr Qandil began his tour by visiting Belbeis Central Hospital, where he inspected the reception and emergency departments, radiology, pharmacy, intensive care, and the pulmonary resuscitation room. He was assured of the availability of medicines and medical supplies, and inspected the internal departments to follow up on medical cases. He also listened to citizens’ opinions about the quality of the services provided, thanking the medical team for their efforts.

The Deputy Minister continued his tour by visiting the Zarzamoun Health Center of the Hahia Health Administration, where he inspected the emergency and reception rooms, dental and family medicine clinics, and the pharmacy. He followed up on the progress of work in health initiatives, noting that there was a deficiency in following up on positive cases, and directed the necessity of taking the necessary measures to ensure effective follow-up.

 He also inspected the vaccination and preventive works room, and praised the performance of the vaccination supervisor, directing that he be rewarded in appreciation of his excellence. He noticed the poor distribution of manpower at the center, so he issued directives to redistribute workers to improve work efficiency.

Dr. Amr Kandil concluded his tour by holding two meetings at the headquarters of the Federation of Medical Professions Syndicates in Zagazig, in the presence of Dr. Radi Hammad, Head of the Preventive Medicine and Public Health Sector, Dr. Rasha Khader, Head of the Primary Health Care and Family Development Sector, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Baili, Director of the Health Affairs Directorate in the Sharqia, along with heads of staff. The central administrations, general directors, and supervisory team discussed during the meetings the negatives that were monitored, and executive recommendations were made to improve performance.

The Deputy Minister recommended a two-week bonus for members of the infection control teams, health offices, food control, joint laboratory, environmental monitoring, occupational safety and health, and school health in the directorate, in appreciation of their distinguished efforts. Seven primary care facilities were also accredited by the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control during the current year, and it was decided to reward the teams of these facilities with a monthly bonus.

At the same time, the Deputy Minister observed some negatives in the performance of a number of primary care facilities, and directed that they be addressed within a month, with the facilities being re-evaluated by a central team from the Ministry to ensure implementation Recommendations.

At the conclusion of the tour, Dr. Amr Qandil thanked the Director of the Directorate of Health Affairs in Sharqia, the supervision teams, hospitals and health departments, praising the noticeable improvement in performance compared to previous visits, and stressing the Ministry’s commitment to continuing field follow-up to ensure the quality of health services provided.
