"Emirates Health" Showcasing its latest digital solutions at GITEX

Dubai, 14 October / WAM / During its participation in the “GITEX Global 2025” exhibition, currently held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Emirates Health Services Corporation is showcasing a package of smart projects that confirm its leadership in employing artificial intelligence and digital technologies to shape the future of health care, in line with the objectives of the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, the “We Are the Emirates” 2031 vision, and the UAE Centenary. 2071.
Her Excellency Mubaraka Ibrahim, Acting Executive Director of the Information Sector and Chief Executive Officer of Artificial Intelligence at the Emirates Health Services Corporation, stressed that participation in “GITEX Global 2025” represents a strategic milestone to review the progress made by the Corporation in the field of digital health, noting that the five projects that the Corporation is presenting this year are not only experimental solutions, but rather practical steps to build an integrated digital health system that enhances the country’s readiness. The UAE is to keep pace with global changes and position it as a leading destination for health innovation.
She added that innovation in health care is an essential pillar for enhancing the sustainability of services and achieving excellence in patient experience, which is what the organization seeks through qualitative solutions that reshape the concept of future care.
During the exhibition, the Foundation will showcase the “Virtual Urgent Care” project, which represents a qualitative leap in providing immediate medical consultations for urgent, non-life-threatening symptoms.
The system adopts precise triage protocols and direct visual consultations via video, with an immediate link to the electronic health record, which contributes to reducing unnecessary visits to emergency departments, and provides a safe and rapid treatment experience that enhances the efficiency of the health system and improves the level of access to services.
The Foundation also highlights the “Together” platform, which provides comprehensive educational content on various topics in mental health, such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and others, and provides easy access to psychological support through mindfulness tools and counseling services via the “Speak, Let’s Hear You” hotline, which is supervised by qualified specialists to provide timely, confidential and effective support.
The Foundation is also reviewing the “Smart Twin” project that it began implementing at Khor Fakkan Hospital, which relies on creating a virtual copy identical to the hospital’s infrastructure, resources, and operations using analytics supported by artificial intelligence and real-time visualization tools to monitor and improve performance, and the “Smart Life and Vision” project, which aims to raise awareness of eye diseases and their prevention, and provide advanced care for diabetics.
The project focuses on enhancing the efficiency of early screening through advanced digital mechanisms that employ artificial intelligence techniques to capture accurate images of the retina and analyze them instantly, allowing early detection of retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and glaucoma, and contributing to reducing their complications.
As part of its participation in GITEX Global 2025, the Foundation is presenting the “Towards Smart Diagnosis of Breast Cancer” project, which represents a qualitative leap in the field of early diagnosis, through the combination of 3D radiological imaging techniques and advanced artificial intelligence algorithms.
The project aims to increase the accuracy of diagnosis, accelerate the issuance of results, and reduce medical errors, which contributes to improving the customer experience, enhancing the quality of health services, helping to enable early therapeutic interventions, and reducing the progression of cases to advanced stages, which contributes to improving treatment results and raising recovery rates, and reflects the Foundation’s commitment to employing artificial intelligence to serve women’s health and enhance the quality of life in society.
