"Dubai residence" : project "Red carpet " It has brought about a qualitative shift in the smart travel experience

Dubai, 14 October / WAM / The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai confirmed that the “Red Carpet – Smart Corridor” project has brought about a qualitative transformation in the travel experience through Dubai Airport, by employing artificial intelligence and facial recognition technologies to facilitate crossing without the need to present documents.
This came during the Dubai Residency honoring Emaratech in recognition of its pioneering role as a technical partner in developing and implementing this vital proactive project on the sidelines of the GITEX GLOBAL 2025 activities at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, presented the shield of honor to His Excellency Thani Al Zaffin, Director General and CEO of Emaratech, in the presence of Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of Dubai Residency, along with assistants to the Director General and a number of leaders from both sides.
The “Red Carpet – Smart Corridor” project is one of Residency Dubai’s most prominent achievements in the field of smart travel, as it enables travelers to quickly transit through Dubai Airport within seconds using only their facial fingerprint, in an experience that embodies the integration between technology and humans and enhances Dubai’s position as a global leader in innovation and digital transformation.
