"Ajman Finance" New smart payment services will be launched in GITEX 2025

Dubai, 15 October / WAM / The Department of Finance in Ajman launched new smart payment services during its participation in the activities of GITEX Global 2025 under the umbrella of the Ajman Government Platform.
Today, the department launched the electronic payment service through the smart local system for “Geeon” cards, which was activated by the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates earlier this year. In cooperation with First Abu Dhabi Bank and Magnati Company, the service was linked with the “Ajman Payment” platform. To be added to the flexible and smooth payment channels provided by the platform to keep pace with customers’ aspirations and improve the services provided to them.
“Gion” is the first national payment card launched by the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, and aims to enhance financial sovereignty, support the national economy, and provide innovative and secure payment solutions alternative to international payment cards. Such as Visa and MasterCard, which reduces dependence on global networks. The card features advanced security technologies and can be used in all payment channels, including cash withdrawals from ATMs, electronic purchases, and points of sale in stores.
The department also announced the provision of the “Do Now, Pay Later” service through “Ajman Sadad,” allowing customers to benefit from the possibility of dividing payments into monthly installments without interest, or postponing payment for a specific period when paying fees or transactions.
His Excellency Marwan Al Ali, Director General of the Department, confirmed that these launches come within the framework of a comprehensive strategic plan to expand the scope of smart payment services, as part of the efforts of the Department of Finance in Ajman aimed at providing flexible payment options that suit various segments of society, and providing advanced solutions that enable customers to pay government fees and daily payments in an easy and safe way.
His Excellency explained that the two services represent a qualitative addition to the digital department’s services system.
