Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi: The Ruler of Sharjah has established a pioneering approach to preserving the Arab document

Sharjah, 16 October / WAM / Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Documentation House in the Emirate of Sharjah, confirmed that the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, was and remains the main pillar in the process of preserving and protecting the Arab document as it is the original source in preserving history and represents the nation’s memory, the pillar of its identity, and the true witness to the process of its cultural prosperity.
He said in a statement on the occasion of Arab Document Day, that the integrated development witnessed by the Emirate of Sharjah today in the field of documents and authentication embodies the directives of His Highness, as the house has worked since its establishment to build a modern system for managing government documents at the level of the Emirate of Sharjah, based on the best international practices and methods and adopting procedures and policies for classifying and preserving documents and preparing and developing specialized organizational guides, which today are considered a major reference in work. He pointed out that the Documents Secretariat at the House plays a pivotal role in preserving and managing government documents by transferring them and transferring them for permanent preservation in a safe environment that takes into account the highest standards of protection, sustainability, security and confidentiality.
Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi explained that the Documentation House enhances community awareness of the importance of documents through specific programs, specialized events, documentary exhibitions, and specialized publications that give the public the opportunity to learn about the history of the emirate, in addition to its specific projects in digitization, restoration, and collecting oral narratives.
He said: “On Arab Document Day, we renew our pledge to continue the approach drawn up by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, that the document be a bridge between the past and the future and a tool for preserving the memory of the emirate.”
