The Governor of Giza witnesses the launch of the activities of the medical caravan for Cairo University in the Bahariya Oasis

Engineer Adel El-Naggar, Governor of Giza, witnessed the activities of the comprehensive development convoy implemented by Giza Governorate in cooperation with Cairo University and the “Decent Life” initiative, to serve the people of the Bahariya Oasis Center, which takes place over four days. 

The Governor of Giza explained that the convoy comes within the framework of Cairo University’s pioneering community role in supporting national initiatives and includes a number of activities. The integrated services include free examination and treatment in various medical specialties, eliminating waiting lists for one-day operations, in addition to veterinary convoys, social interventions, initiatives for motherhood and childhood, literacy, and the Egyptian Industrialists Initiative, as well as awareness and development programs for families and children.

 

The Governor of Giza stressed that organizing the convoy comes within the framework of Fruitful cooperation between Giza Governorate, Cairo University and the Decent Life Initiative in support of the state’s efforts to provide health and development services to the most vulnerable areas, indicating that the state pays great attention to the Bahariya Oasis Center.

 

Al-Najjar pointed out that Giza Governorate was keen to provide all aspects of support and coordination for the success of the caravan’s activities, out of awareness of their direct impact on improving Quality of life and alleviating the burdens on citizens, thanking Cairo University for its pioneering societal role and its continuous efforts in serving the people of the governorate.

 

Engineer Adel El-Naggar explained that cooperation between Giza Governorate and Cairo University resulted during the current year in organizing more than 38 diverse events that included medical and development convoys, exhibitions, workshops, and a number of awareness and health activities. From the neighborhoods and centers of the governorate, stressing that this approach embodies the integration of state institutions to serve the Egyptian citizen and achieve sustainable development.

 

For his part, Dr. Ishaq Jamil, Director of the Directorate of Health Affairs in Giza, explained that so far 55 surgical operations have been carried out within the activities of the convoy, in addition to signing a medical examination and providing free treatment to a large number of citizens in various specialties, stressing that the medical teams It works around the clock to serve the people of the Bahariya Oasis.

 

The governor was accompanied by Ibrahim Al-Shehabi, deputy governor, Mohamed Marei, assistant secretary-general of the governorate, Dr. Ishaq Jamil, director of the Health Affairs Directorate, Ahmed Shuaib, coordinator of Hayat Karima in Giza, Wael Shaaban, head of the central administration of the governor’s office, engineer Walid Abdel Latif, assistant to the governor, and Dr. Sabri Shaker, head of the Oasis Center.
