The General Authority for Statistics, in cooperation with the Ministry of Statistics, launched Education, the second version of the “Statistical Knowledge” program in general education schools, with the aim of building a conscious generation capable of dealing with data and analyzing it in an era that witnesses a massive flow of information in various fields.
The program targets middle and high school students in all regions of the Kingdom, as it seeks to empower them with the basic concepts in statistics and data sciences, and to develop their abilities for research and analysis. And conscious dealing with Diverse data, especially enhancing their awareness of the importance of relying on accurate information from reliable sources, and developing cognitive communication skills internally and externally with high efficiency.
The launch of the program comes within the strategic partnership between the Authority and the Ministry of Education to raise the level of statistical culture among students, and train them in the practical application of statistical concepts in their daily lives.
Preparing for the future
The program also contributes to developing critical thinking and quantitative analysis among male and female students, thus enhancing their readiness to continue their higher education in the future scientific specializations required by the national labor market.
The “Statistical Knowledge” program includes interactive educational activities designed in a simplified manner appropriate to the targeted age groups, linking data concepts. And its uses in daily life.
The program allows students to apply statistics skills in decision-making through an interactive educational competition that mixes theoretical knowledge and practical application, and continues for ten days from Sunday, October 19, until Thursday, October 30.
The program also includes various activities, including investing in school radio to provide knowledge materials about the role of statistical work in social development.
