The Medicines Authority is examining mechanisms for implementing the digital prescription

Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Egyptian Medicine Authority, held an expanded meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Health and Population, in the presence of Major General Amr Ayed, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Information Systems and Digital Transformation, to discuss developments in the digital medical prescription project and mechanisms for integrating it with the Ministry of Health system, ensuring integration between the health and pharmaceutical systems.
Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawy confirmed The digital prescription project represents one of the basic pillars of digital transformation in the health sector, noting that the authority pays special attention to enhancing integration between the concerned authorities to ensure the smooth implementation of the project and achieve a tangible impact for the citizen.
He explained that the project contributes to improving the follow-up of drug dispensing and ensuring their safe and rational use, in addition to providing accurate databases that support health decision-making and improve the quality of services. Introduction.
For his part, Major General Amr Ayed stressed that the Ministry of Health and Population supports all initiatives aimed at developing the health system, noting that linking the health systems and the Medicine Authority within the digital prescription project will lead to raising the efficiency of medical services and enhancing the quality of health care.
He added that the project represents a qualitative leap in the automation of health care services, and contributes to accelerating and accurately exchanging information between them. The concerned parties that directly serve the citizen also praised the leadership role of the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Authority in implementing the project, praising its efficiency in coordinating efforts between various parties and its keenness to adopt practical solutions that guarantee effective implementation on the ground, which reflects its ability to lead digital transformation projects in the pharmaceutical sector with high professionalism.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees stressed the importance of continued coordination and cooperation between all parties to ensure implementation.
