On the list of children of flowers…women with a long history in public work
The list of the Sons of Flowers, headed by Counselor Muhammad Al-Demerdash, current head of the Flower Club, includes three women, all of whom have practiced public work and left a prominent mark on it, running for elections in three different positions. They are: Dr. Mai Fares, candidate for the over-age membership seat, Dr. Nashwa Al-Nahhas, candidate for the Fifth Settlement membership seat, and Dr. Aya Sharif, candidate for the under-age membership seat.
Here are excerpts. From the CV of the three female candidates on the Sons of Flowers list headed by Counselor Mohamed Al-Demerdash.
Dr. Mai Fares, who is nominated for the over-age membership seat, is a professor of translation in the French Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University. She also works as a certified interpreter for organizations and bodies affiliated with the United Nations and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs… She also holds the position of a member of the current and former Board of Directors of the Al-Zohour Club and contributed to supervising the Women and Children Committee. And the internal committee participated in working within a group of members of the current Board of Directors to achieve a service, construction and quality boom in the El-Zohour Club.
The list also includes Dr. Nashwa El-Nahhas, a consultant for serums and vaccines at the Vaxera Serum Holding Company and a member of the Board of Trustees of New Cairo City, and the coordinator of the Medical Services and Clinics Committee and the coordinator of the Youth Committee in the Fifth Settlement, where she also contributed to the great development that the El-Zohour Club witnessed during Over the past years, it has actively participated in developing medical and awareness services within the club and aims to develop the infrastructure and services provided to members, especially in the Fifth Settlement branch, which reflects its keenness to achieve balance between the club’s branches.
The list of Al-Zohour’s children in the underage candidates included one of the distinguished young cadres who grew up in the club, namely Dr. Aya Sharif, a dentist at Al-Galaa Military Hospital, and despite At her young age, she held many important administrative positions, most notably Secretary General of the Supreme Technical Committee of the Egyptian Artistic Swimming Federation, and member of the Women’s Committee of the Egyptian Olympic Committee.
Aya Sherif’s program includes integrating the educational side with the sports side, especially for children and buds, while paying attention to the various women’s activities within the club in order to build a balanced generation athletically, culturally, and health-wise.
It includes a list «Children of Flowers» Both: Counselor Dr. Muhammad Al-Demerdash in the position of President, Counselor Ihab Al-Shariti in the position of Vice-President, Accountant Ali Adel, Treasurer, Engineer Ahmed Osama, Investment Secretary, while the list of over-age members includes Major General Dr. Engineer Hazem Hassan, Dr. Engineer Ayman Bayram, Engineer Muhammad Abdel Salam, Dr. Mai Fares, Captain Yasser Hefni, Engineer Muhammad Al-Bustani; While the list of underage members includes Engineer Ali Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, Dr. Aya Sharif, and from the Fifth Settlement branch, Major General Dr. Engineer Amr Abdel Aziz, Dr. Nashwa El Nahhas.
The Al-Zohour Sports Club, headed by Counselor Mohamed Al-Demerdash, invited its members to attend the regular general assembly of the club in accordance with the provisions of Sports Law No. 71 of 2017 and its amendments issued by Law No. 171 of 2025 and the implementing ministerial decisions. It and the club’s bylaws and amendments are scheduled to be held on Friday, October 24, at the club’s main headquarters in Nasr City, which includes the election clause.
