Urgent.. Suspending the Board of Directors of the Ismaili Club and referring them to the Public Prosecution
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, issued a decision to suspend and exclude the Ismaili Club’s Board of Directors, the Executive Director, the Financial Director, and the Club’s Sports Activity Director, and to refer them all to the Public Prosecution to investigate the violations that were monitored through the financial and administrative examination and inspection of the club’s affairs.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mohamed El-Shazly, stated that the decision of Mr. The minister included the exclusion of the current council referred to the prosecution until the end of the prosecution’s investigations or the end of the council’s term, whichever is sooner, and the beginning of forming a temporary committee to manage the club’s affairs until the nearest general assembly, provided that the Ismailia Youth and Sports Directorate will manage the club’s work until the committee is formed.
The official spokesman for the ministry added that the Minister of Youth and Sports directed those concerned to immediately begin full coordination with the Ismailia Governorate. And the Suez Canal Authority to provide sponsorship and support programs from private sector companies, ensuring stable sources of income for the club during the next stage, in light of the concern for the stability of the ancient Ismaili club and the continuation of its progress in a climate of discipline and transparency.
