More than 72 thousand registered people wishing to perform Hajj rituals
Abu Dhabi, 21 October / WAM / The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat revealed that the number of applications from those who registered for the Hajj package for the upcoming season 1447 AH/2026 AD, through the smart application and the Authority’s website until the end of the registration period on 09/10/2025 AD, amounted to about 72 thousand applications to perform the obligatory Hajj.
The authority has begun sorting and approving initial approvals for the applications registered in the Hajj package for this year, and matching them with the required requirements, stressing that the selection will be in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. (32) of 2018 regarding the Hajj and Umrah system, noting that the quota of pilgrims in the United Arab Emirates for the upcoming Hajj season is 6,228 pilgrims, allocated by the authorities responsible for Hajj affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Authority indicated that applicants who have obtained initial approval will be contacted via their registered phones, calling on those who receive the approval message to adhere to the deadlines to complete the necessary procedures, ensuring that Hajj permits are issued within the approved time periods.
The Authority stressed its keenness to facilitate and complete all procedures related to the affairs of the country’s pilgrims well before the season, and to provide a comfortable time space that enables pilgrims and the authorities responsible for services to provide visions and proposals about the requirements, in accordance with high standards governed by the requirements and signed agreements.
