المملكة: “Environment” pursues “food safety” violations in Al-Ardiyat markets and slaughterhouses

Implement Public benefit markets and slaughterhouses in the governorate.

This step comes within the framework of the Ministry’s continuing efforts to ensure Safety of food products, and promoting the concepts of public health and environmental sustainability, with the aim of providing a safe and healthy environment for consumers.

Periodic plan

The director of the Ministry’s office in Al-Ardiyat, Ahmed Al-Faqih, explained that these tours fall within the periodic oversight plan of the office.

He pointed out that the oversight teams focus on following up The extent to which markets and slaughterhouses adhere to the approved health and environmental requirements, and ensure that they apply the highest standards of safety and quality.

Al-Faqih added that the field teams monitored the level of general cleanliness, and evaluated the methods of displaying animal and agricultural products, to verify the extent of compliance with the controls and instructions approved by the Ministry.

Directives The Ministry

While the Director General of the Ministry’s branch in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, Engineer Walid Al-Daghis, confirmed that these oversight efforts are in line with the Ministry’s directions aimed at achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Engineer Al-Daghis indicated that these goals focus on the areas of environmental sustainability, the preservation of natural resources, and the protection of human and animal health.

/>He stressed that raising the efficiency of markets and developing the control system represents one of the main axes in the strategy of enhancing food security and improving the quality of life in the region.
