Shamma bint Muhammad emphasizes the role of women in shaping the future

ABU DHABI, 23rd October / WAM / Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, Mrs. Françoise Nemchinov, wife of the French Ambassador to the country, and members of the Emirati-French Women’s Committee, discussed the committee’s plans for the coming period, and proposals were put forward to expand the partnership circles to include French educational frameworks in the country, noting the importance of transforming stories. And the individual experiences of women leaders lead to a sustainable work system and social responsibility initiatives.

During the meeting held yesterday at Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Palace in Abu Dhabi with the aim of strengthening cultural and societal cooperation between women leaders in the two countries, the two sides affirmed the continuation of cooperation between them and the translation of cultural and humanitarian ties into concrete programs and projects that enrich society and support the journey of Emirati and French women in creativity, innovation and leadership.

The Emirati-French Women’s Committee is a platform that brings together French-speaking female entrepreneurs, graduates, and students interested in French culture. The initiative was launched in 2015, and Sheikha Dr. Shamma holds the Emirati honorary presidency of the committee, while Mrs. Françoise Nemchinov holds the French honorary presidency.

The committee aims to support women’s leadership, consolidate the role of women as a key partner in economic development, enhance the integration of French companies into the structure of the UAE economy, and build an influential network capable of opening horizons for innovative projects, in addition to supporting the achievement of professional equality within the framework of the fifth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Sheikha Dr. Shamma stressed that this meeting is a qualitative addition that confirms the value of women’s presence as part of society’s movement towards the future, stressing that the committee is an Emirati-French cultural actor that seeks to document women’s work and their ability to create the present and lead the future, expressing her hope that the meeting will be the beginning of a series of learning, sustainability and work.

For her part, Mrs. Françoise Nemchinov highlighted the outstanding achievements of Emirati women in France, stressing the importance of enriching cooperation between French and Emirati businesswomen to enhance the role of women in both countries.
