The armed forces participate in a number of Commonwealth countries in the annual celebration to commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the victims of the Battle of El Alamein

The armed forces of the countries (Germany – Britain – Italy – Greece) participated in the annual celebration ceremony to commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the victims of the Battle of El Alamein, which took place in the theater of operations in the city of El Alamein in 1942, in the presence of a number of commanders of the armed forces and high-level delegations from the participating countries and the families of the victims at the headquarters of the memorial for the Commonwealth Cemeteries in the city of El Alamein.

The participants placed wreaths on the grave of the Unknown Soldier and observed a minute of silence for the souls of war victims. The participating delegations also visited the El Alamein Military Museum, which is an embodiment of the Battle of El Alamein and commemorates World War II.

It is worth noting that the city of El Alamein has now become a tourist destination. It is a global city with its advanced facilities, as well as hosting major international events and activities, after the armed forces cleared it of war remnants over the past years, making it one of the most beautiful tourist cities in the world.
