Ambassador Mohamed El Orabi: Egypt’s hosting of the World Green Hydrogen Conference in Africa reflects its regional leadership

Ambassador Mohamed El-Orabi, Chairman of the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organization, member of the Senate and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that the Arab Republic of Egypt’s hosting of the Third Global Green Hydrogen Conference in Africa confirms its regional leadership and pivotal role as a bridge between the African and European continents.

Al-Orabi welcomed, in a statement today, Thursday, Egypt’s hosting of the conference organized by the German Business Organization. The African Conference (Afrika-Verein) is sponsored by the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organization and the General Union of Afro-Asian Investors, after the remarkable success of the previous two sessions in Berlin and Hamburg.

Al-Orabi explained that holding the conference on October 28 coincides with the positive results of the Egyptian Summit – The European Conference held by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Brussels, prior to the visit of the German President and his wife to Cairo to participate in the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, pointing out that this sequence of events reflects a civilized image and a strong economic message that confirms Egypt’s growing position on the international scene.

He stressed that Egypt’s hosting of this conference, with the broad participation of delegations and experts from Europe and Africa, represents the culmination of its pioneering role as a center. A regional energy hub and a hub for sustainable development on the continent, pointing out that this high-level international event goes beyond being an economic or technical meeting to constitute a strategic step that reflects the Egyptian ambition to lead the green energy revolution.

Orabi pointed out that the international confidence in Egypt hosting this event reflects the international community’s belief in the Egyptian state’s capabilities to transform visions into tangible reality, based on its proven record in implementing projects. Giant infrastructure. 

He continued that the conference aims to crystallize a joint vision for developing hydrogen projects in Egypt and Africa, in a way that enhances climate and economic cooperation between the countries of the two continents.

He explained that Egypt seeks to be a technological bridge linking European experience, especially German, in the field of renewable energy, and the enormous African potential in the fields of solar energy. And wind, stressing that green hydrogen represents an essential axis for achieving sustainable industrialization and national energy security.

Al-Orabi noted that the conference constitutes a high-level international platform to review the investment opportunities and technological partnerships offered by the Egyptian state within its national strategy for green hydrogen, thus strengthening its position as a major player in the global energy market.

It is noteworthy that the global conference The third green hydrogen event in Africa is organized by the German-African Business Organization headed by Claudia Voss, in partnership with INP Egypt headed by Engineer Alaa Kamal, in cooperation with the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the German Embassy in Cairo, sponsored by the General Union of Afro-Asian Investors, and organized by Master Point Marketing Solutions and the organization of international conferences and exhibitions.
