World Food Week in Abu Dhabi establishes itself as an international platform for cooperation and innovation

Abu Dhabi, 23 October / WAM / World Food Week 2025, which concluded today, has established itself as a leading international platform for cooperation and innovation in the food and beverage sector, setting a new standard for global interaction in culinary arts and agricultural technologies.
The ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center hosted the event, which attracted thousands of participants from 75 countries, including 18 countries participating for the first time, in a clear indication of the growing reputation of this event and its growing global influence.
World Food Week brought together under one roof an elite group of international companies, manufacturers, and farmers, along with innovators and entrepreneurs from around the world, making it a strategic meeting point for buyers, producers, and investors in a sector witnessing rapid growth.
This broad international participation confirms Abu Dhabi’s position as a global city of innovation, a leading destination in attracting major events, and its pivotal role in advancing sustainable development and enhancing food security, in line with the UAE’s vision of building a flexible and integrated food future.
World Food Week 2025 in Abu Dhabi also embodied the spirit of cultural diversity, with the participation of countries from five continents, which reflects the global nature of the event and enhances the UAE’s position as an international platform for trade exchange and innovation in the food and beverage sector.
The Italian pavilion was led by Global Marketing Executive Director Donato Cinelli, with the participation of more than 20 companies, in addition to a hall dedicated to live cooking shows presented by the famous chef Luca Martino, who showcased authentic Italian dishes that reflect the heritage of Italian cuisine.
Mexico also participated actively through eight sections dedicated to corn, pepper and cocoa products, while international chefs in the gourmet hall presented live demonstrations of famous dishes such as tacos, fajitas and hot sauces, amid great interaction from visitors.
In addition, the Asian presence at World Food Week 2025 left a strong mark, as Japan, South Korea, and China showcased the latest developments in the fields of food manufacturing and transportation through spacious and distinct pavilions. Japan dazzled visitors with live cooking demonstrations of sushi and ramen dishes, in addition to demonstrating smart agriculture techniques.
South Korea introduced a variety of its traditional products such as kimchi, tea and natural ingredients, while China focused on plant-based foods and advanced preservation methods that reflect its development in the field of food safety.
In the same context, Arab countries recorded a remarkable presence, as Jordan displayed its products of dates, olive oil and hydroponics, affirming its commitment to developing sustainable agriculture.
As for Egypt, it presented a wide range of agricultural products with the aim of enhancing trade with partners from the Gulf and Asia, while Palestine embodied its deep connection to the land by displaying products such as olive oil, thyme, dates and honey, in addition to highlighting the stories of the resilience of local farmers.
The participation of 18 countries for the first time in the event demonstrated the growing impact of World Food Week in Abu Dhabi, as a global station for agricultural technology and sustainable food solutions, and a center of attraction for countries seeking to showcase their innovations and engage in an integrated food system.
World Food Week 2025 plays a key role in establishing Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading voice in accelerating global discussions on food security and the future of agriculture, as many prominent events were held over three days a week, such as the Abu Dhabi International Food Fair, the Abu Dhabi Dates Exhibition, the Global Food Dialogues, and the Agricultural Technology Forum, which were designed to enhance the emirate’s reputation in this vital sector.
