The Journalists Syndicate celebrates the National Day of Palestinian Women and documents the voices of women in the war

The Journalists Syndicate, through the Women’s Committee and the Cultural and Artistic Committee, and in cooperation with the “Voices from War” initiative, is organizing, on October 26th, a special celebration on the occasion of the National Day of Palestinian Women.
A statement from the Syndicate, today, stated that the celebration begins at exactly five-thirty in the evening at the Syndicate’s theater, under the slogan “A Story of Struggle and Will Not “You break.” It aims to document and archive the struggles and steadfastness of Palestinian women during the war, and to preserve their narratives from being forgotten. It includes presenting “podcast” documentaries. An audio narration documenting live testimonies of the voices of Palestinian women in the war of extermination, produced by the “Voices from War” initiative.
Among the most prominent shows are episodes from the podcast “Al-Zanana… The Terror of a Bird in the Skies of Gaza,” and “Searching for a Cure,” And “Testimonies of female doctors and nurses in Gaza hospitals,” and “Letters that did not arrive,” which document the collapse of the health system and the repercussions of psychological warfare.
The celebration also includes a panel discussion on the role of narrative audio arts (podcasts) in raising the voices of Palestinian women, and documenting their stories, And highlighting their heroic struggle.
The event concludes with an artistic performance by “Team Kanaan” for the Palestinian Dabke on the union’s stage.
A group of public figures and those interested in Palestinian affairs are participating in the celebration, and among the speakers and participants, via “Zoom”. The freed prisoner, Israa Al-Jaabis, and a number of female journalists who covered the war.
Marwa Abudqa, founder of the “Pyramids of Hope” initiative, also participates. For psychological support and education for the displaced children of Gaza, Emirate Salem is an injured Palestinian woman, and a number of injured Palestinian women, and Saba Ismail is a Palestinian journalist who provided support and assistance to injured women, and Salwa Al-Rayes from the Palestinian Stories Initiative. Yahya Saqr, journalist and founder of “Voices from War,” is also participating, and Noha Lamloum, co-founder of the initiative and podcast producer.
