The head of the Upper Egypt Development Authority meets with the Governor of the New Valley to discuss prospects for cooperation and joint development projects
Within the framework of implementing the directives of the political leadership to support integrated development efforts in the governorates of Upper Egypt, Major General A.H. Dr. Mohamed Al-Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley, received Major General Engineer Amr Abdel Moneim, Chairman of the Upper Egypt Development Authority, to discuss aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides and push the implementation of development projects in the governorate.
During the meeting, the development projects implemented by the Authority in the governorate were reviewed, as well as investment opportunities. The projects proposed to be implemented during the coming period in the fields of agriculture, agricultural industrialization, and new and renewable energy, in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development and providing job opportunities for the people of the governorate.
The governor stressed that the New Valley Governorate possesses promising natural and economic components that make it qualified to be an integrated investment center in the fields of agriculture and industry, praising the role of the Upper Egypt Development Authority in supporting development efforts. And stimulating investment in promising areas in the governorate.
For his part, Major General Engineer Amr Abdel Moneim expressed the Authority’s keenness to expand areas of cooperation with the governorate and implement development projects in line with the state’s Vision 2030, stressing that the Authority is working to create an investment climate and support productive projects that contribute to improving the standard of living for the people of Upper Egypt.
The meeting concluded with certainty. On the continuation of coordination between the two sides to prepare a map of priority projects during the next stage, and to study the signing of joint cooperation protocols in a number of development sectors.
This came in the presence of Dr. Hanan Magdy – Deputy Governor of the New Valley, and Dr. Mazen Shaqwir Advisor to the Chairman of the Authority for government and institutional communication, and Dr. Rawda Youssef, Director of the Authority’s branch in the governorate.
