The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has confirmed that there is no truth to what has been circulated on some social media sites regarding the existence of volunteer opportunities to organize the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is scheduled to be held on November 1, 2025, stressing that the Ministry has not issued any announcements or requests in this regard.
The Ministry indicated in a statement that all arrangements for the opening ceremony were completed some time ago in coordination with all concerned authorities. In the country, to ensure that the event takes place in an image that befits the status of Egypt and the importance of the Grand Egyptian Museum as one of the most important cultural, touristic and archaeological events in the 21st century.
The Ministry also confirmed that what was said about selling special tickets to attend the opening ceremony is incorrect, explaining that the museum will open its doors to receive visitors from the public starting on the fourth of next November, simultaneously With the celebration of the anniversary of the discovery of the tomb of the golden king Tutankhamun, according to what was officially announced earlier.
