The opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum coincides with the World Shooting Championship "Pistol and rifle"
The organizing committee of the World Shooting Championship held "Pistol and Rifle – Cairo 2025" Its preparatory meeting to put the final touches before the start of the tournament, which is being hosted by the Egypt International Olympic Games City in the New Administrative Capital during the period from 6 to 18 November next, with the participation of 1,000 archers, male and female shooters, and administrators from more than 70 countries around the world.
The meeting witnessed a review of the latest developments in technical, administrative and organizational equipment, and follow-up on the work of preparing shooting ranges, accommodation, transportation, catering, and training and reception areas for delegations. In accordance with international standards approved by the International Shooting Federation (ISSF).
The committee also discussed the plan for receiving international delegations, the schedule of events accompanying the tournament, in addition to the arrangements for the opening ceremony, which will reflect the image of modern Egypt and its ability to organize major tournaments with the highest levels of professionalism.
The World Shooting Championship comes – Cairo 2025 coincides with the historic opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the largest and most important cultural and tourism projects in the world, giving the tournament a distinct cultural and tourism dimension, combining the fragrant history and the spirit of modern achievement.
In this context, the Egyptian Shooting Federation announced the organization of field trips for the participating delegations on the sidelines of the tournament to visit the Egyptian Museum. Al-Kabeer, in an initiative aimed at enhancing cultural communication and introducing the greatness of Egyptian civilization that extends back thousands of years, so that sports and history converge in a scene that reflects the greatness of ancient Egypt and its modern renaissance.
Hazem Hosni, President of the Egyptian and African Shooting Federations and a member of the International Shooting Federation, confirmed that the World Shooting Championship “Pistol, Rifle – Cairo 2025" It represents an exceptional milestone in the journey of the Egyptian Shooting Federation, and an extension of the successes achieved by Egypt in organizing and hosting the largest international sporting events.
Hosni added: The selection of the New Administrative Capital to host this global event reflects the confidence of the international community in the organizational capabilities and advanced infrastructure that Egypt possesses, which has become a model to be emulated in the region and the world.
He indicated that the Federation is working with full dedication with the organizing committee and the concerned authorities to ensure the presentation of a tournament worthy of the name and status of Egypt, and that reflects its modern image as a country capable of creating success in all fields.
