Khaled Fathi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Handball Federation, confirmed that what the national junior team achieved in the World Cup tournament in Morocco was an unprecedented achievement, and that the goal was to obtain first place, in light of the participation of strong teams such as Germany and Spain.
Fathi explained that the national team was physically affected in the World Cup final against Germany, and that the players played a very strong match against the Spanish national team in the previous round. The final, while the machinery team played a smaller match against the Qatar team.
Fathi said: “The tournament has ended and we have closed its page, and our mission now is to continue the journey with a strong and promising generation that will be on a date with major achievements in the coming years.”
Khaled Fathi added that the junior team is preparing to compete. The African Championship competitions next year, then the U-19 World Cup in 2027, and the goal is to obtain the title and gold medal no matter how strong the competition is.
Fathi continued: “The junior team includes many distinguished elements, and they are expected to have professional experiences in the strongest European clubs, and we are working to increase the number of professional players, to serve the interest of Egyptian handball and the national team.” The first".
