The UAE participates in the bowling and shooting competitions at the Deaf Olympics in Tokyo

Dubai, 2 November / WAM / The National Paralympic Committee announced the participation of the UAE national team in the Deaf Olympics, which is being hosted by the Japanese capital, Tokyo, during the period from 15 to 26 November, with the participation of an elite group of the most prominent deaf athletes from various countries of the world.
The national team participates in bowling and archery competitions, and is currently holding a preparatory camp in the Dubai Bowling Center hall as part of the final stage of preparations before traveling to Japan.
The bowling team includes 6 players: Ayman Al-Muqbali, Tariq Shehab, Adnan Maallimi, Adnan Al-Jabri, Ali Al-Jaber, and Walid Radwan, while players Hassan Al-Balushi, Hassan Lootah, and Rashid Abdullah Al-Shamsi participate in the shooting competition, “10-meter air pistol and 50-meter socket rifle.”
The team’s preparations are supervised by the technical staff consisting of Shaker Ali, Khaled Muhammad Al Ali, and Hamad Al Darmaki, under the supervision of Abdullah Khalil Ahli, Chairman of the Emirates Committee for Sports of the Deaf and head of the delegation, and with the support of sign language interpreter Abdullah Taljabini.
Abdullah Ahli expressed his confidence in the ability of the team players to provide an honorable performance that reflects the development of deaf sports in the country, praising the players’ seriousness and high spirit during the preparatory camp.
For his part, Theban Salem Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the National Paralympic Committee, stressed that the committee gives great attention to deaf sports within the sports system for people of determination, noting that participation in the Tokyo Olympics represents a new step in the process of development and honorable representation of Emirati sports on the international scene.
