The Public Prosecution participates in an international meeting to confront trafficking in synthetic drugs
Bangkok, 5 November / WAM / Salem Khalifa Al Ghafli, Chief Federal Drug Prosecutor, participated in the meeting of the Network of Judges and Prosecutors United Against Synthetic Drug Trafficking (JUST), which was held in the Thai capital, Bangkok, under the auspices of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Al-Ghafli presented a study on the legal and technical challenges in cases of manufactured narcotic substances, stressing the importance of international cooperation and exchange of experiences to confront the rapid development in this field.
The UAE participation included national leadership in developing the judicial and legislative system to combat drugs, and the constant endeavor to build capabilities and enhance cooperation under the umbrella of the United Nations.
