The Alliance of International Scientific Organizations renews its confidence in the National Research Center

In a new achievement that reflects the position of the National Research Center as a leading research institution at the national and international levels, the Alliance of International Scientific Organizations (ANSO) renewed His confidence in the Center as a member of the Alliance’s Board of Directors, during his participation Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Moawad, President of the National Research Center, at the annual general assembly meeting of the international ANSO body, which was held in Beijing, China, from October 27 to 31, 2025.It is noteworthy that the National Research Center joined the ANSO Alliance for the first time in 2018, to be one of the first African institutions to join this prominent international scientific alliance. The Alliance of International Scientific Organizations (ANSO) is one of the most prominent global scientific initiatives launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the alliance brings together more than 60 prestigious research and academic institutions from various continents of the world, including Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.
The ANSO Alliance aims to enhance scientific cooperation between countries, build research capabilities, and encourage innovation to meet common global challenges in diverse fields such as agriculture, energy, environment, health, and sustainable development.
Prof. Dr. confirmed Mamdouh Moawad, in his speech during the meeting, said that the renewal of the Center’s membership in the ANSO Alliance represents a renewed recognition of the high scientific standing that the Center has achieved since joining the Alliance in 2018, and confirms its leadership in supporting applied scientific research and enhancing international cooperation in the fields of biological and agricultural sciences, energy and the environment.
Moawad added that this step opens new horizons for expanding partnerships between the National Research Center and leading scientific institutions within the ANSO Alliance, in line with Egypt’s 2030 vision for sustainable development.The head of the Center also indicated that renewing membership gives Egyptian researchers the opportunity to benefit from fellowship and scientific exchange programs, in addition to participating in joint research projects within the ANSO Alliance, especially in the fields of smart agriculture, natural resource management, technological innovation, and intelligence.
