A delegation from the General Union of Prosecutions and Courts meets with the Bahraini Minister of Legal Affairs

Within the framework of the pioneering role played by the General Union of Public Prosecution and Court Workers on the Arab and international arenas, the union delegation, headed by Karim Abdul Baqi, met with the Bahraini Minister of Legal Affairs, Yousef bin Abdul Hussein Khalaf, in the presence of Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to discuss ways to enhance joint Arab cooperation in international forums.
The Egyptian delegation was met with a warm and high-level reception from the Bahraini side, in a scene that embodies the depth of relations. The brotherhood between the Egyptian and Bahraini peoples, and reflects the mutual appreciation for the weight and status that Egypt represents in the Arab and regional countries.
This meeting comes as a continuation of the fruitful meeting that brought together the General Union and the Free Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions, which discussed aspects of joint cooperation and the exchange of union experiences, stressing the desire of both sides to strengthen the bonds of joint Arab union work.
The meeting came to confirm the depth of Egyptian-Bahraini relations, and to open new horizons in the field of labor services. And the trade union, in addition to discussing ways to coordinate Arab positions within the International Labor Organization, in a way that enhances the unified Arab voice on issues of labor and union rights.
The Bahraini side praised the unprecedented cultural renaissance that Egypt is witnessing, stressing their admiration for the dazzling global spectacle of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which reflects the greatness of Egyptian civilization and its ability to dazzle and renew.
For his part, Karim Abdel Baqi, President of the General Union of Public Prosecution Workers, stated this. And the courts said that this meeting comes at a very important time when the world is witnessing rapid changes in labor and union issues, stressing that Arab cooperation has become an inevitable necessity to strengthen the common position within international forums, especially the International Labor Organization. The state confirms that the political will in Egypt is capable of creating a better future for the entire Arab nation.
He added: “We are moving today with a new spirit that reflects the vision of the Egyptian state in building humanity, raising the efficiency of workers, and achieving social justice. We seek for Arab union cooperation to be a natural extension of this vision that President Sisi is leading with steady steps towards the future.”
Abdel Baqi also stressed the importance of exchanging expertise and experiences between Arab unions, and discussing union training and education programs and developing the joint work system in a way that serves workers’ issues at the level of the Arab world.
The Egyptian delegation included: Maged Rashad – Treasurer of the union, Ahmed Tawfiq – Secretary-General, Nouran Refaat Badr El-Din – Member of the delegation.
This meeting comes within a series of moves led by the union to confirm the influential Egyptian presence within regional and international institutions, and to consolidate the concept of Arab cooperation based on action and leadership, not on slogans.
