Microsoft launches " "Microsoft Elevate UAE"

Dubai, 6 November / WAM / Today, Microsoft organized the “AI Tour” event in Dubai, as part of its global tour that brings together elite leaders and pioneers from the government sector, academic institutions and the business sector, to explore ways to employ the potential of artificial intelligence to enhance innovation, productivity and achieve sustainable growth in the UAE.
The event included keynotes, interactive experiences and applied presentations from customers and partners, highlighting artificial intelligence innovations and the mechanism of transforming them into impactful practical achievements.
During the event, Microsoft announced the launch of “Microsoft Elevate UAE”, an expansion of its global skills development initiative.
This announcement comes within the framework of the company’s existing commitment in the region to qualify one million people by the end of 2027.
The program will enable more than 250,000 students, faculty members, and academic employees, along with more than 55,000 government employees, to acquire the artificial intelligence skills required in the labor market, through sustainable programs, partnerships, and advanced artificial intelligence tools. Microsoft will also provide expanded programs available to all educational institutions in the UAE, including 10,000 teachers and 150,000 students in GEMS private schools, to consolidate the culture of artificial intelligence and develop practical skills at all stages. Education.
Brad Smith, Vice Chairman and President of Microsoft, said: “Our partnership with the UAE, over more than three decades, has formed a model for expanding the horizons of opportunities through technology, and our investment today comes to strengthen this partnership by building human capabilities that make artificial intelligence a transformative force by empowering individuals with skills that open up new horizons for them, and enabling sectors to innovate and improve the quality of life.
During the event, Brad Smith delivered the opening remarks, and joined Peng Xiao, CEO of the G42 Group, and Samer Abu Latif, President of Microsoft for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, in a panel discussion that covered the next phase of the partnership between the two companies and Microsoft’s recent investment of $15.2 billion in the UAE.
Smith emphasized that this investment combines technology, talent, and trust, to strengthen the country’s artificial intelligence infrastructure, develop local capabilities, and expand growth opportunities across all economic sectors, stressing Microsoft’s commitment to supporting the UAE’s long-term vision for innovation, education, and comprehensive growth.
The “AI Tour” aims to showcase the company’s latest innovations in the field of artificial intelligence to a key audience in priority markets.
The Dubai edition was a regional platform that combined customer stories, interactive experiences, and direct technical presentations that highlighted the positive impact of artificial intelligence in various fields.
This year, the event included a new area under the title “Communication Center,” highlighting the success stories of Emirati entrepreneurs, including “Takallam,” a platform powered by artificial intelligence to support mental health, PRYPCO, a startup in the field of real estate technology, and the Otera platform for corporate artificial intelligence.
Prior to the event, Brad Smith met with the founders of these companies in appreciation of their contributions to the local innovation ecosystem, stressing Microsoft’s commitment to empowering the startup community in the UAE.
Microsoft also announced the next phase of its cooperation with the G42 Group and the JAHIZ platform to train and certify 55,000 federal employees in the UAE in the field of artificial intelligence during the next twelve months.
The program combines basic skills with practical applications, to help government sector cadres harness the potential of artificial intelligence to improve public services and promote innovation. Microsoft also continues to implement leadership development programs for government officials on responsible adoption of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
