Urgent.. Only a few hours until Egyptians abroad start voting in the 2025 House of Representatives elections

According to the timetable approved by the National Elections Authority, headed by Judge Hazem Badawi, the voting process for Egyptians residing abroad will begin this evening, Thursday, in the first phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections, which will continue on Friday and Saturday.

 

The first polling stations will open their doors in New Zealand during the next few hours, due to the time difference, to be the first country in which the voting process will begin.

The National Elections Authority confirmed, in Its Resolution No. 56 of 2025 stipulates that every Egyptian residing abroad has the right to participate in voting, provided that he is registered in the voter database, and holds a valid national ID card or passport that includes the national ID.

The Authority explained that the voting process is conducted through direct general secret ballot within the headquarters of embassies and consulates or any other headquarters determined by the Authority in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provided that the process is supervised by committees that include members of the diplomatic and consular corps, with assistance. Secretaries and workers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Voting takes place from nine in the morning until nine in the evening, each country’s time, with an hour of rest determined by the supervising committee to ensure that the electoral process runs smoothly.

 

In the event that there are voters who have not cast their votes at the end of the specified time, voting continues until all those present have finished casting their votes.

Every candidate or list representative also has the right to appoint a representative in every electoral committee abroad, provided that He must be registered in the voter database, provided that the Authority is notified of the names of the delegates two days before the start of the voting process.
