Head of Healthcare: 6 million medical and therapeutic services at the Ismailia Medical Complex so far

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Health Care Authority, General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, announced that the Ismailia Medical Complex has provided more than 6 million medical and therapeutic services since the start of operation until now, stressing that this number reflects the efficiency of operation and expansion of integrated care services within the comprehensive health insurance system in the governorates of the first phase.
The Chairman of the Health Care Authority explained that the Ismailia Medical Complex has provided 1,410,258 services were provided in outpatient clinics, 816,798 emergency services were provided, while 98,019 services were provided in the internal department, 78,424 advanced surgical operations were performed, in addition to 3,437 services inside nurseries, and 11,931 services in intensive care units, in addition to 3,604,136 laboratory and diagnostic medical examinations. Diversified.
Dr. Al-Sabki stressed that these indicators reflect the pivotal role of the Ismailia Medical Complex as one of the largest integrated medical centers in the Suez Canal Region, and a model for the success of the smart operating system within the Authority’s hospitals.
He pointed out that the Ismailia Medical Complex is one of the 5 major medical complexes affiliated with the Authority in the governorates of the first phase of the comprehensive health insurance system, which are: Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Port Said, and the Ismailia Medical Complex. In Ismailia, the Suez Medical Complex in Suez, the Luxor International Complex in Luxor, and the Fayrouz Medical Complex in South Sinai, pointing out that the new Aswan Medical Complex is currently being constructed to add to the system, bringing it to six medical complexes that provide comprehensive, integrated services covering all levels of health care.
The head of the authority added that the complex has a capacity of about 400 beds, which includes 84 intensive care beds, and 13 operating rooms equipped according to the latest international systems, In addition to 6 advanced medical laboratories and 32 incubators for premature babies, he pointed out that the complex includes all general and delicate medical specialties, including liver, kidney and cochlear transplants, microscopic endoscopes, microscopic surgeries, cardiac and cerebral catheters, and spine and maxillofacial surgeries.
He explained that the Ismailia Medical Complex is the first medical complex in Egypt to obtain the accreditation of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control (GAHAR) and international accreditation. JCI together, which confirms its commitment to the highest international quality standards, and the laboratories have obtained ISO accreditation, while the Stroke Unit has received accreditation from the World Stroke Organization (WSO).
Dr. Al-Sobki added that the complex is a distinguished model in international partnerships, as a twinning contract was held with the Japanese Nagoya Hospital as the first experience to unify medical, administrative and research work systems between Egypt and Japan, in cooperation with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency JICA, indicating that this cooperation contributes to raising the efficiency of the cadres. The head of the Authority stressed that the Ismailia Medical Complex represents an integrated medical city on the land of Ismailia, whose services extend to cover the people of Ismailia and the Canal, and provides the Egyptian citizen with an integrated treatment system that combines specialized care, scientific research, training, and medical rehabilitation, making it a national model for smart hospitals of the future within the comprehensive health insurance system.
He pointed out that the complex It works according to a smart electronic referral system linking family medicine units and centers and the hospital, ensuring an integrated and rapid treatment journey for the patient, supported by the unified electronic medical file that allows tracking the patient’s health history and analyzing his medical data to improve the quality of the medical decision.
The Chairman of the Authority concluded, stressing that what was achieved at the Ismailia Medical Complex embodies President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s vision of building a modern and integrated national health system based on quality, sustainability, and innovation, indicating that the General Authority for Health Care is moving forward with confident steps. Towards expanding the scope of smart medical complexes in the governorates of implementing the comprehensive health insurance system, in a way that enhances Egypt’s position as a pioneering country in providing advanced and safe health care to all citizens, and its leadership regionally and globally.
