The Governor of Dakahlia receives the Mufti of the Republic as part of Mansoura University’s celebration of Science Day
Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, received today, Saturday, Dr. Nazir Muhammad Ayyad, Mufti of the Republic, within the framework of Mansoura University’s celebrations of Science Day, where the visit comes as an affirmation of the scientific, advocacy and national role played by the Egyptian Fatwa House in serving society and spreading awareness and enlightened thought among its people.
The two parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Dakahlia Governorate and the Egyptian Fatwa House and support efforts. Aiming to establish correct religious awareness among all segments of society, in a way that contributes to building a conscious human being capable of distinguishing between truth and falsehood, right and wrong, and confronting rumors and destructive ideas that target the stability and unity of society.
His Eminence the Mufti stressed that the Egyptian Fatwa House has today become a leading scientific institution that carries out its religious, intellectual and educational mission, through its research and digital centers such as the Salam Center for Studies of Extremism and the Observatory. Takfiri fatwas and the Electronic Fatwa Center, which receives thousands of questions daily from inside and outside Egypt, pointing out that the mission of the Fatwa House is no longer limited to fatwas only, but has become a comprehensive message that includes guidance, education, and family and community reform. And humanity, and that one of the most dangerous things contemporary society faces is being led by misleading information spread through technological media without verification or scrutiny.
Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, welcomed the Mufti of the Republic, expressing his deep appreciation for his Eminence’s participation in the celebration of the Governorate and Mansoura University’s Science Day, appreciating the great efforts made by the Fatwa House in spreading the values of moderation and moderation, correcting misconceptions, and building thought. Al-Enlightened, stressing the governorate’s keenness to cooperate with the institution in the fields of training, education, and developing community awareness, noting that the absence of innovation in religious discourse has contributed to the spread of manifestations of intellectual extremism, stressing that Al-Azhar’s scholars and its conscious preachers, in turn, contribute significantly to directing people toward the correct understanding of religion.
