The Foreign Minister discusses by phone with his Ukrainian counterpart the strengthening of bilateral relations and a number of international issues

Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, discussed by telephone with Andriy Ssibha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to a number of international issues of common interest.
During the phone call, today, Saturday, Dr. Badr Abdel Aty reviewed the course of relations between Egypt and Ukraine, stressing the keenness to continue developing existing cooperation in the economic, trade and investment fields, and to build on the growing ties. Which brings the two countries together in various sectors..
He also expressed Egypt’s aspiration to strengthen existing partnerships in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples.
The two ministers exchanged views on developments in many regional and international crises, where Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty reiterated Egypt’s firm position calling for the necessity of respecting the Charter of the United Nations, and the importance of continuing efforts aimed at reaching peaceful settlements of crises through dialogue and diplomatic means, in a way that preserves security and stability. For his part, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister expressed his country’s appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in hosting the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, and the resulting agreement to end the war in Gaza, stressing that this achievement reflects Egypt’s pivotal role in achieving calm and making progress towards achieving peace in the region.
