Nahyan bin Mubarak approves the activities and events of the National Festival for Tolerance and Coexistence
Abu Dhabi, 9 November / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, said that the National Tolerance Festival in its seventh session represents a living embodiment of what we cherish in the Emirates, and what His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” confirms to us in word and deed, that the values and principles of tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood constitute an integral part of the nation’s journey, and a commitment from all of us towards our society and the world.
His Excellency pointed out that all of this is a natural extension of Zayed Al Khair’s approach to achieving happiness, peace and stability for all without exception, stressing the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence’s keenness for the festival to be a comprehensive platform that embraces peace and cooperation as a means and an end, and takes human brotherhood and reconciliation as an approach and method, while enhancing coordination and joint work with all countries and peoples to make the values of tolerance and coexistence a tangible reality for all.
This came after His Excellency approved the program of activities and events for the National Festival of Tolerance and Coexistence 2025, which will be launched in Umm Al Emarat Park in Abu Dhabi during the period from 14 to 18 November 2025, under the slogan “Hand in Hand,” to embody the UAE’s message of promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence.
The festival provides a platform for community, cultural and humanitarian dialogue that brings together all segments of society, including youth, children and families of citizens and residents, in addition to various communities. This year, it welcomes the Republic of China as a guest of honour, in addition to the participation of more than 26 countries through artistic, cultural and heritage activities and distinguished pavilions, through which they present their vision of tolerance and human brotherhood, making this year’s edition of the festival a global edition par excellence, and a platform that highlights the UAE’s vision of tolerance and coexistence as a tangible reality for everyone to witness.
His Excellency explained that the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence was keen for this edition of the festival to include various activities, including artistic and heritage performances, workshops, art exhibitions, and artistic and folklore theater in all languages of the world from East to West in shows that come together under the umbrella of Emirati tolerance, in addition to experimental exhibitions by local, Arab and international artists, competitions for youth, children and families, and intercultural dialogue sessions, in an atmosphere that combines celebration of Emirati identity and openness to experiences. Global.
He pointed out that the festival seeks to be an interactive platform for all segments of society – citizens and residents of different nationalities – to live an interactive experience of fun, enjoyment, and learning about others, in an environment of diversity and pluralism, and to express the leadership and vision that makes the UAE a global model for peaceful coexistence.
His Excellency added that the festival also focuses on demonstrating societal cohesion in the Emirates in the Year of Society under the slogan “Hand in Hand,” in addition to highlighting the UAE’s experience as a global model of tolerance and coexistence among more than 200 nationalities, where diversity is considered a wealth and not a challenge. The festival will also remain a field for all, without exception, for cultural and artistic cooperation between communities and government and private agencies, and expanding the network of partners at the international level, in addition to encouraging government, local, and private institutions to organize activities parallel to the festival and integrate them. In the content of tolerance and coexistence, and consolidating the values of tolerance, acceptance of others, and human brotherhood within a multicultural society, which is reflected in daily behavior that seeks mutual respect, the festival this year also focuses on involving all communities residing in the country as an actor in the activities and not just a presence, through cultural performances, arts, workshops, and competitions, which enhances the feeling of belonging and contribution.
His Excellency said that the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence this year also focuses on encouraging youth sectors, families, the elderly, and people of determination to be part of the festival experience, in an open and encouraging atmosphere. The festival is also keen to enhance opportunities for young people for dialogue, research and knowledge in the field of tolerance through expanded intellectual and discussion sessions, in addition to the participation of leaders and pioneers of tolerance through the activities of the “Knights of Tolerance” program.
His Excellency noted that the participation of more than 26 sister and friendly countries in the festival’s activities, whether through artistic and heritage performances or pavilions that include the cultural heritage of these countries in a global scene, confirms that cooperation and tolerance are the goals of everyone, in addition to the prominent presence of a large number of prominent international figures and entities, which aims to enhance dialogue and cooperation among all. It is also considered a distinguished launch of the festival in its current global version, with its emphasis on the common values of humanity and peaceful coexistence among all peoples of the world for a prosperous future for all.
His Excellency called on all segments of society, including families, youth, and adults, citizens and residents of this nation, to learn closely about the activities and events of the National Festival for Tolerance and Coexistence in its seventh edition, which are characterized by richness, depth, and development with important global participation, as part of our endeavor to contribute to affirming the place of human values in the life of the individual and society in the Emirates, as all of the festival’s activities represent an embodiment of the country’s immortal heritage, continuous achievements, and superior ability to create and innovate.
His Excellency said that the festival carries a message of peace and love from the Emirates to everyone and strongly expresses pride in the founder of the state, and keenness to fulfill his legacy, by committing to continue living up to the expectations and ambitions represented by his wise leadership of this dear country. He stressed that Abu Dhabi’s hosting of this festival is a sincere expression of its position as an incubator of the values and principles of tolerance and human brotherhood, which represents the true starting point for any activities, programs or events, and the festival will remain one of the most important platforms that allow everyone to express their expressions. Their values and vision, according to a general rule of respect for others and commitment to the values and principles of human brotherhood approved by the world starting from Abu Dhabi.
He stressed that all participants in the festival are united by their belief in the values of tolerance and coexistence, even if their religions, colors, and nationalities differ. Therefore, the National Tolerance Festival will remain an opportunity to exchange ideas and be open to everyone, and provide the opportunity for everyone to get to know closely the Emirates, its values, civilization, traditions, creativity, renaissance, and role.
