The President of Cairo University receives the President of Nanjing University of Special Education in China
Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, President of Cairo University, stressed the depth of the strategic and historical relations between Egypt and China, pointing out that the cooperation relations that already exist between Cairo University and major universities in China, such as the Beijing and Shanghai International Universities, the Chinese People’s Educational Publishing House, and other major entities within China, pointing to the university’s organization of “the first joint summer school” In cooperation with the Institute of African and Asian Languages at Shanghai International Science University on “Innovation, Sustainability and Culture”, with the participation of an elite group of professors, researchers and students from the Egyptian and Chinese sides. This came during the President of Cairo University receiving, in his office, today, Tuesday, a high-level delegation from Nanjing University of Special Education in the People’s Republic of China, headed by Huang Junwei, President of the University, to discuss aspects of joint cooperation between the two universities in the academic and research fields, and to exchange visits by faculty members and students.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Saeed, Vice President of Cairo University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Rehab Mahmoud, Director of the Confucius Institute and Head of the Chinese Language Department at the College of Arts, and Dr. Heidi Bayoumi, Director of the Office of International Cooperation at Cairo University.
The meeting discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the two universities by examining cooperation in establishing joint programs between the two universities in the field of preparing specialized cadres to teach and qualify students with special needs, in languages, and in graduate studies, in addition to exchanging visits by faculty members and students. Dr. welcomed. Muhammad Sami Abdel-Sadiq, in his speech, to the President of Nanjing University of Special Education and his accompanying delegation, indicating that the university pays great attention to the issue of people of determination, and is keen to empower and integrate them within the university community, through the Center for Services and Support for People with Disabilities, and the College of Physiotherapy, pointing to the presidential initiative “Empowering” Which the political leadership pays great attention to, and it aims to promote the rights of people of determination, support their integration into society, and spread awareness of their rights and duties, while reviewing the most prominent activities, seminars, and competitions carried out by the university within the framework of its implementation plan for this presidential initiative.
For his part, Huang Junwei, President of Nanjing University of Special Education, expressed his happiness at his presence at Cairo University, which enjoys a great academic reputation at the international level, stressing his desire to enhance cooperation with the university. Cairo University to benefit from its academic expertise.
He pointed out that Nanjing University of Special Education has many specializations, such as special education and artificial intelligence, and many students from Asian countries, Africa, and the United States of America study there, pointing out his desire to exchange faculty and student visits.
The President of Nanjing University of Special Education invited Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq, President of Cairo University, to visit Nanjing University to see the educational and research movement within it. At the end of the meeting, shields and gifts were exchanged, some souvenir photos were taken, and the delegation also conducted an inspection tour of the grand celebration hall.
