Al-Ahly defeats Sporting in the first leg of the Women’s League final

Al-Ahly Club won over its rival Sporting with a score of 80-73, in the match that brought them together a short while ago at the Zewail Hall in 6th of October City, in the first leg of the final round of the Women’s Basketball Association Championship.

The results of the periods of the match between the two teams were as follows:

First period: Al-Ahly (20) × Sporting (13)

Second period: Al-Ahly (39) × Sporting (38)

Third period: Al-Ahly (60) × Sporting (53) 

Fourth period: Al-Ahly (80) × Sporting (73)

 

Al-Ahly’s under-18 women’s team also defeated Sporting, 65-55, in the match that was held at five-thirty in the evening today, within the linked competitions.

 

The final round competitions are held in a home-and-away system between the women’s and women’s under-18 teams, with the winner receiving two points, while The defeated gets one point. Thus, Al-Ahly currently has 4 points, while Sporting has 2 points. 

 

In the competitions to determine third and fourth places, Al-Jazira defeated Smouha with a score of 59-56. This match was preceded by the U-18 girls’ match, which ended in Smouha’s favor with a score of 58-53.

 

The return matches are scheduled to be held next Thursday at the Zewail “Youth and Sports” Hall. In the city of 6th of October.
