Speaker "Ministers": We export limited shipments of gas to achieve added value

Cabinet spokesman Counselor Mohamed Al-Homsani said that Egypt has begun exporting limited shipments of gas to achieve added value, and that Egypt has established an important and large base for liquefying and exporting gas, and with the recent developments and the start of new exploration operations and their increase, in addition to Egypt importing gas shipments from neighboring countries as part of its contracts. Shipments, even with a limited number of units, gives a positive image that Egypt has returned to exporting gas again, even if the quantities are limited, and with the increase in production and gas imports, we will gradually return to normal export rates in the future.
He pointed out that the main focus now is on intensifying exploration work to increase local production, especially after a huge gas liquefaction base was built, and that exports declined in the previous period with the decrease in production in the past periods, and the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources is also making efforts
