The Prime Minister holds a meeting with a number of health and education ministers from some countries participating in the conference

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held today a welcoming meeting with a number of ministers of health, education, and social protection from a number of countries participating in the third edition of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development (PHDC’25), which will be held during the period from 12 to 15 November 2025, in the new capital, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Dubravka Bosnjak, Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Dr. Hossam Abu Merhi, Minister of Health of the Republic of Latvia,  Sashi Kiran, Minister of Women, Children and Social Protection of the State of Fiji, Dr. Vesna Janevska, Minister of Education of North Macedonia, Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayyid Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Saleh Mahdi Muttalib Al-Hasnawi, Minister of Health of Iraq, and Dr. Abdel Majeed Abdel Rahim, Minister of Public Health of the State of Chad. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Nouf Al-Numair, Secretary-General of the Ministerial Committee for Health in each country. Policies" At the Saudi Ministry of Health. 

            At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed the attending ministers, expressing his happiness at their honoring the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development (PHDC) in its third edition, and their participation in its activities, expressing his aspiration that the results of the conference will be fruitful and constructive for all countries and parties participating in it, and to make the most of the meaningful dialogue sessions related to the various fields of health care, and to exchange visions on various related issues, in a way that serves the peoples of the countries participating in this. Biosphere.

             In light of his talk about the field of health care, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said: The Egyptian state has paid greater attention to this field in recent years, as it affects the process of human development at its core, which is primarily based on “building the human being.”

         The Prime Minister added: As Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar spoke about initiatives related to public health and eliminating diseases, the Egyptian state is indeed seeking to eliminate various diseases, and perhaps these various initiatives that receive presidential attention reflect the great interest that the state attaches to these endeavors in order to get rid of these diseases, just as it has made strenuous efforts to completely eliminate “virus C.”

        During the meeting, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly pointed out that concern for the public health of the Egyptian person is what led us to choose Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar to be Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development to carry this important file, praising Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar’s contributions to the state’s strategy for human development, and the " A new beginning for building humanity.

    During the meeting, the attending ministers expressed their happiness at meeting Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and participating in this global conference, stressing that it is a golden opportunity to discuss various issues related to the field of health care and public health.

       Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayyed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain, said: I convey to you the greetings of our leadership in the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressing sincere thanks for the opportunity to participate in this important conference. Which provided the opportunity to learn about the development that Egypt is witnessing in the field of health care and technical fields, adding that in various international forums we hold bilateral meetings to discuss cooperation in the field of health care, and to benefit from the latest technologies in this field.           While Dr. Hossam Abu Merhi, Minister of Health of the Republic of Latvia, expressed his appreciation for participating in this conference, which provided a great opportunity for constructive and purposeful conversations, he also expressed his personal benefit from Egypt’s experience in eliminating “virus C.” He also expressed his pride in signing a memorandum of understanding with the Egyptian state, represented by the Ministry of Health, which allows for the possibility of expanding frameworks of bilateral cooperation in the fields of care. Health. 

  For his part, Dr. Saleh Mahdi Muttalib Al-Hasnawi, the Iraqi Minister of Health, conveyed his greetings. The Iraqi Prime Minister, praising the clear development he witnessed in the field of health care, said: This is the second time that I participate in this global conference, and the truth is that there is a very clear difference in the amazing development that Egypt is witnessing in the field of health care, especially the presidential initiatives in this regard.

           The Iraqi minister added: I spoke with Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar about the possibility of cooperation in the field of eliminating breast tumors. We have a long history of joint cooperation, and we also have cooperation agreements in the field of medicines, in addition to the cooperation of Egyptian companies in establishing Iraqi hospitals in rural areas, and I look forward to increasing cooperation in related fields during the coming period.

      In turn, Sashi Kiran, Minister of Women, Children and Social Protection of Fiji, said:  What really impressed us, the conference participants, was the strenuous efforts we saw to eliminate “Virus C,” and we look forward to strengthening cooperation with Egypt in the field of using artificial intelligence in providing health care services. 

    During the meeting, Dr. praised Dubravka Bosnjak, Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, praised the fruitful cooperation between Egypt and her country in the field of health care, expressing her aspiration to enhance the prospects of this cooperation in the health and pharmaceutical field.

   Dr. Abdelmajid Abdelrahim, Minister of Public Health of the State of Chad, thanked the Egyptian state for holding this global conference, and also conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Chad  The President, the President of the Republic, also expressed his happiness at meeting the Prime Minister, and thanked Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar for organizing this conference, and said: We are keen in Chad to permanently strengthen relations with Egypt,              Dr. Vesna Janevska, Minister of Education in North Macedonia, congratulated Egypt on the progress it has made in the field of education, noting that there are great opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of: education, health, tourism, and science, and we are currently working on signing a number of agreements with Egypt for cooperation in these promising fields.

        Dr. Nouf Al-Numair, Secretary-General of the “Ministerial Committee for Health in All Policies,” presented: The Saudi Ministry of Health expressed its thanks for organizing this busy global conference, and expressed its happiness at the warm reception of the Saudi delegation participating in the conference, reviewing the policies adopted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to advance the public health sector in the Kingdom, and expressing its aspiration to enhance cooperation with the Egyptian side in this regard.

    The Prime Minister concluded the meeting by expressing his happiness at what he heard from the attending ministers, who expressed their country’s desire to enhance cooperation with Egypt in the fields of health care, education and other fields. He said: This is something we are honored and pleased with and we are working to achieve it with brotherly and friendly countries. He called on the ministers to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum to enjoy an enjoyable cultural tour to learn about the history of ancient Egyptian civilization.
