The President of the Petroleum Syndicate concludes the program to empower women and prepare them for leadership positions

Accountant Abbas Saber, President of the General Union of Petroleum Sector Workers, witnessed the conclusion of the activities of the training course for unions in the petroleum sector, entitled “Empowering Women and Preparing them for Leadership Positions,” which was held at the Manar Misr Petroleum Training Center during the period from 9 to 13 November 2025, with the participation of an elite group of union leaders and female cadres from various companies in the sector.
The head of the General Union praised, He praised the great role that women play within the petroleum sector in supporting union and administrative work within the sector, praising the efforts of the participants and the positive interaction they provided during the training program.
Saber stressed during the conclusion that empowering women and developing their leadership capabilities comes within the vision of the General Syndicate to enhance the effective participation of women in decision-making positions.
The accountant Abbas Saber thanked Engineer Mohamed Maged, President of the Misr Petroleum Company, for his fruitful and lasting cooperation with the General Syndicate, as he expressed He expressed his appreciation to colleague Heba Kamel for her distinguished efforts in managing the training.
Dr. Walaa Rashid, an expert in protocols, protocols and human development, lectured in the course. She explained that the training program focused on refining the participants’ skills in the areas of leadership, communication, and work-life balance, stressing that petroleum women are capable of achieving success whenever they are given the appropriate opportunity and effective institutional support.
She pointed out that the General Union of Petroleum Workers is one of the leading entities in adopting the concept Empowering women in a practical way, not a slogan.
Sabri Abdel Aziz, Vice President of the General Union of Petroleum Workers, also praised the success achieved during the program’s activities, stressing that empowering women within the petroleum sector is no longer just a slogan, but has become a practical reality embodied by women’s competencies who have proven their worth in both union and administrative work.
He added that the General Union, led by accountant Abbas Saber, pays special attention to qualifying women and supporting their participation in positions Leadership.
The course covered a set of specialized training topics that aimed to develop the leadership and management skills of women working in the petroleum sector, and included: the skills and abilities that must be available in a woman manager, the impact of women’s physiological and behavioral variables on their management skills, how to achieve a balance between work and family, women’s adaptation and empowerment of women leaders in the work environment, and the development of memory skills.
The participants confirmed that the course represents an important step in building female cadres capable of leadership and effective participation. In decision-making within petroleum sector institutions, in line with the state’s directions towards supporting and empowering Egyptian women in various fields.
At the conclusion of the events, participants were honored and certificates of passing the course were handed over, amid an atmosphere of interaction and pride in the success achieved, reflecting the General Syndicate’s belief in the importance of empowering petroleum women and appreciation of their vital role in the process of national work within the sector.
