"Idris" He thanks the Minister of Sports for emphasizing the role of the Olympic Committee and federations in making achievements
Engineer Yasser Idris, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, thanked Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, for his continuous support for sports and athletes, and his emphasis on the role of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, its executive committees, and its member federations in making achievements, and his keenness to activate the role of the ethics and behavior control committees for greater transparency and governance, in cooperation with the Egyptian Olympic Committee.
This came in the wake of a statement issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and published by the official page of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, in which he praised Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, with the results of the Egyptian delegation participating in the Islamic Solidarity Games competitions held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, during the period from 7 to 21 November of this month.
The Minister of Youth and Sports confirmed that the successive achievements achieved during the current period in the Islamic Solidarity Games, which reached 27 medals despite the participation in a symbolic delegation of only 12 federations, in addition to the unprecedented achievements achieved in various world championships, especially in individual games. It reflects the legal governance of the sports system and the consistency with which its components are maintained, in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and all components of the system, at the forefront of which are the Egyptian Olympic Committee and the sports federations, as well as the technical committees affiliated with the Olympic Committee, which in turn work with a scientific methodology, and with the utmost balance, discipline and transparency in coordination with the sports federations and under a legal umbrella and consistent in their formation and work methodology with the Olympic Charter and international sports standards through what they have accomplished at all levels, especially those related to them. With the Code of Sports Conduct to consolidate values, principles and sports governance, which created an atmosphere of success and stability for champion athletes in all sports to achieve these successive achievements.
The Minister of Youth and Sports added that the coming period will witness an intensification of all preparations for all sports federations, under the technical supervision of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, to compete in international competitions, in preparation for the launch of preparations for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games competitions through the integration that is currently underway. With projects to discover talented people, at the forefront of which is the National Project for Talent and the Olympic Champion of the Ministry in coordination with the Egyptian Olympic Committee.
