Sharjah Social Empowerment signs an agreement with the Arab Council to Empower Orphans

Sharjah, November 13 / WAM / The Sharjah Foundation for Social Empowerment signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Arab Council for Childhood and Development in the Arab Republic of Egypt, via visual communication technology, with the aim of enhancing joint efforts in the areas of serving and empowering orphans and developing specific programs that deal with childhood issues in the Arab world.
The agreement was signed by Her Excellency Mona Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, and His Excellency Dr. Hassan Al-Bilawi, Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, in the presence of a number of leaders from both sides.
Al-Suwaidi stressed that the agreement is an important step towards unifying Arab efforts to serve and empower orphans, noting that cooperation enhances the exchange of experiences and the development of scientific and professional tools that contribute to building children’s capabilities and empowering them with modern life skills, in keeping with the social and developmental transformations in the Arab world.
For his part, Dr. Hassan Al-Bilawi explained that the agreement aims to implement specialized training programs and workshops to support and empower children using the Council’s “Raising Hope” model, which aims to build the self and develop the capabilities and creativity of children.
This cooperation comes within the framework of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation’s keenness to expand its regional and international partnerships, and to consolidate Sharjah’s position as a pioneering center in the fields of social and humanitarian work.
