The award achieved record numbers, as more than 16,380 entries were received from 73 countries, and the countries of the Middle East topped the list with 5,952 entries, and entries from Asia reached 3,777 entries, then North Africa with 3,455 entries, followed by European countries with 1,386 entries, and from the United States of America 1,024 entries, and 790 entries from other countries, which reflects the widespread global interest in this award, the largest of its kind, while he interacted with the participation in The prize is accepted by more than 17.8 million people.

The award aims to support and encourage the production of films with purposeful content using various artificial intelligence tools and models, including Google Gemini, raise awareness of humanitarian messages, and enhance the creative capabilities and aesthetic vision of creative content makers from around the world.

For her part, Her Excellency Alia Al Hammadi, Vice President of the UAE Government Media Office and Director of the One Billion Followers Summit, said on this occasion that extending the period of participation in the award until next December 5 is in line with the vision of the “One Billion Followers Summit” to enable the largest number of creative content makers around the world to participate in the award, and comes as confirmation of the UAE’s pioneering role in attracting content makers and giving them the opportunity to spread their meaningful creativity that makes a difference in societies and leaves a positive impact on the new generation of followers of various platforms. Social networking.

She added that the award for films generated with artificial intelligence tools, the largest of its kind in the world, would enrich the global media scene, enable everyone who has a purposeful idea and a creative story to communicate it to the world, and give him the opportunity for greater creativity and realize his dreams of expansion and spread.

The conditions for participating in the award include that a minimum of 70% of the film must be produced using Google’s generative AI features tools, including Veo, Imagen, Flow, and others, in addition to tools from other providers that are based on Google Gemini technology. Other editing tools and programs can be used, but not for video generation.

The film participating in the award must be creative and realistic, and address two main topics: (reshaping the future) through stories that explore the features of the future with a positive vision, and (the secret life of everything) by telling stories that we do not see that revolve around everything in life, and that have not yet been told.

The duration of the film should range from 7 to 10 minutes, and those wishing to participate in the award can apply through the summit website, provided that the participation is in the name of one person only.

The judging phase to select the 10 best films that qualify for the qualifiers will begin from December 6 to 15, and from December 18 to 25, the public voting phase will begin on the ten films that qualify to choose a list of the top 5 films from among them.

On January 8, 2026, the five films qualified to compete for the grand prize will be announced, which will be shown during the One Billion Followers Summit activities on January 10. The next day, January 11, will be the winning film for the grand prize of one million US dollars.
