Al-Ahly mourns Captain Mohamed Sabry, a former Zamalek and Egyptian national team player

Captain Mahmoud Al-Khatib, President of Al-Ahly Club, and the members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Management and the sports sectors, mourned with great sadness Captain Mohamed Sabry, the former player of Zamalek and the Egyptian national team, who passed away today, praying to the Almighty God to bless the deceased with his vast mercy and enter his spacious paradise, and to inspire his honorable family patience and solace, and to God we belong and to Him we shall return.

It is noteworthy that Mohamed Sabry, the former Zamalek and Egyptian football star and presenter on the Zamalek channel, was killed in a traffic accident in the Fifth Settlement area at the age of 51.

The journalist Karim Ramzy, a broadcaster in the On Sports channel group, mourned the death of Mohamed Sabry. He described him as a great historical star who was polite and loved by everyone who dealt with him, stressing that the news was very shocking.

Mohamed Sabry, known to Zamalek fans as Count De Sabry, was born on April 7, 1974, and participated for the first time with the White Knight in 1994 under the leadership of Mahmoud El Gohary, the coach of Zamalek at the time.

Sabry was an exceptional talent in football. He was nicknamed “The Gunners” because of the power of his kick, which was brilliantly into the net. And mastery, and he participated with Zamalek in 13 years full of giving, during which he won 15 championships, including the Egyptian League twice, the Egyptian Cup twice, the African Champions League three times, the Egyptian Super Cup three times, the Cup Winners’ Cup once, the Afro-Asian Cup once, and the African Super Cup three times.

Sabry played among the historical tricks of Zamalek, which was full of stars such as Ismail Youssef, Hazem Emam, Ahmed Al-Kass, Ayman Mansour, and Khaled. Al-Ghandour, and he was part of the identity of the White Castle and one of its voices on the field.
